As I mark the completion of my first year on Frisco City Council, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've taken together. It has been a year filled with collaboration, innovation, and significant achievements that have shaped our city's landscape.
There were many projects and initiatives critical to Frisco's success this year in policymaking, governance, economic development, adaptive reuse, higher education, historic preservation, arts, sustainability, and more, but here's my short list of favorites. Top 10 Accomplishments
Selected our new City Manager, Wes Pierson
Named the #1 Safest City in the U.S. for the 2nd year in a row
Raised the Homestead Exemption to 12.5% and implemented a Senior Tax Freeze
Secured 16 HQ Relocations to Frisco, bringing high-paying jobs to our city
Launched Downtown Redevelopment initiatives to support the heart of our city
Established a Tourism Public Improvement District to expand our city's brand
Acquired the state Music Friendly Community designation by the Texas Music Office
Hosted the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards at the Star, streamed live
Increased our Hike and Bike Trails for greater connectivity throughout the city
Adopted "Lights Out Texas," protecting millions of migratory birds flying through Frisco

Frisco Public Library, the 6th largest in Texas
UNT Frisco Campus, home to 3,000+ students
PGA HQ, Omni PGA Resort, and the PGA Frisco District open to all residents
Grand Park with Big Bluestem Trail and began Master Planning Process
Employee Wellness Center to offer greater employee benefits
Frisco is undoubtedly a city of Unrivaled Performance, and this list represents just a few of our city's projects from my first year.
